Age is just a number. Prove it.
A search for the oldest verified athletes who can still meet five iconic performance standards. Five challenges. No combined score. Enter any one — or all five.
Dallas–Fort Worth · Spring 2027
The mission
Aging Evolution inspires adults to rediscover their athletic potential. REALFIT provides rigorous, repeatable measurement that turns that inspiration into verified accomplishment. Together, this event answers the question every former athlete has asked: how much is still there?
The competition principle: In each challenge, the winner is the oldest verified athlete who meets or exceeds the fixed threshold — not the athlete with the highest raw performance. Age, established to the day, is what matters once the standard is met. If no one meets the threshold, no winner is declared.
Five provocative questions. Who is the oldest person who can still serve 120 mph? Throw a football 50 yards? Pitch 80 mph? Run a 5.0-second 40? Drive a golf ball 300 yards? The oldest verified qualifier in each challenge becomes a central subject of the Aging Evolution documentary.
You don't have to hit the headline standard to make the event matter. Every participant earns a REALFIT®-certified result, a ranking in their five-year age group, and a verified benchmark to build on. "You don't have to be the best. You just have to show up."
Five challenges
Each challenge is a separate event with its own headline standard. There is no combined score — you compete in whichever challenges fit your athletic background.
Radar-measured serve velocity. Serve must land in — faults don't count and are retaken. 5 valid serves; fastest speed wins. The oldest athlete to reach 120 mph wins.
Regulation football from the 50-yard line — a running approach is allowed. 3 attempts; best distance counts. The oldest athlete whose throw reaches the end zone wins.
Electronic-timed sprint over 40 yards from a stationary start. REALFIT® timing equipment and certified officials. The oldest athlete to run 5.00 or faster wins.
Carry distance measured by indoor launch monitor. Any club allowed — 6 swings, best carry counts. The oldest athlete to carry 300 yards wins.
Radar-measured pitching velocity from regulation distance. 5 pitches; fastest speed counts. The oldest athlete to reach 80 mph wins.
Event schedule
All five challenges run sequentially so athletes can enter multiple events, officials can focus on one challenge at a time, and documentary coverage stays sharp. Tentative schedule — exact dates, venues, and venue types TBD. Working target is spring 2027 in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
How it works
Each challenge accepts up to 120 participants — the 100 oldest eligible applicants receive automatic age-priority invitations. You pay only after you're selected.
Submit a free application for any or all five challenges. No payment required to apply.
Applicants are ranked by age. The 100 oldest eligible applicants per challenge receive automatic invitations.
Selected athletes receive an invitation with a deadline to accept and pay their entry fee.
Show up, compete under REALFIT® certified officials, and receive your official results.
Entry fees
Application is always free. Fees are charged only after you've been invited and accept your place.
Fees apply per challenge entry. An athlete may enter more than one challenge; up to 600 total entries across all five events. VIP and video-selection invitations also available.
What certification means
Every test is administered by a REALFIT®-certified official using specified equipment and published protocol. Your result meets the standard required for official recognition.
Your result is recorded in the open FITDAT® format — a structured, versioned data record tied to your athlete account. Comparable across any REALFIT®-powered event, now or in the future.
Every participant receives a performance ranking in their five-year age bracket — regardless of whether they meet the headline threshold. Your certified result stands on its own.
You'll receive a verified result document carrying the REALFIT® certification mark — something worth sharing, because it means something.
Whether you hit the headline standard or not, every participant walks away with something real: a certified, official record of exactly what they did, plus context that shows where they stand.
Applications open soon. Submit your interest now and we'll notify you the moment applications go live for your challenges.
